For generations, Benny Andersson has given the world melodies that seem impossible to forget. From the irresistible magic of ABBA’s greatest hits to the emotional beauty of his solo compositions, his music has become part of millions of lives. And now, the legendary Swedish composer is giving fans another reason to celebrate. A new musical collaboration is bringing his unmistakable creativity back into the spotlight, reminding the world that his passion for music has never disappeared.
The announcement of Benny’s latest songwriting project has attracted attention among ABBA followers, particularly those who have spent decades admiring his extraordinary musical talent. Working alongside Swedish poet and lyricist Ylva Eggehorn, Benny has created a new song titled “Stör inte kärleken” (“Don’t Disturb Love”). The composition was scheduled for its first public performance at an anniversary concert in Stockholm on October 18, 2026, celebrating 175 years of Ersta Diakoni.
Although this is not a new ABBA recording, the collaboration carries a special significance for fans who have followed Benny’s creative journey beyond the legendary group. His ability to combine beautiful melodies with meaningful emotions has always been one of his greatest strengths. This latest project offers another glimpse into the imagination of a songwriter whose influence has crossed generations.
For many listeners, Benny will forever be associated with unforgettable ABBA classics such as “Dancing Queen,” “The Winner Takes It All,” “Fernando,” and “Thank You for the Music.” These songs have accompanied countless love stories, celebrations, heartbreaks, and cherished memories. Their melodies continue to find new audiences, even among younger listeners discovering ABBA for the first time.
Yet Benny’s musical journey has never been limited to the past. His solo piano album Piano, released in 2017, revealed a more intimate side of his artistry, while his continued work with Benny Anderssons Orkester demonstrates his lasting commitment to creating music.
Perhaps that is what makes this latest news so meaningful. Benny Andersson does not need another worldwide hit to prove his importance. His place in music history is already secure. What makes fans excited is the possibility of hearing something new from a composer whose melodies have brought so much happiness to the world.
For ABBA fans, every new musical chapter connected to Benny feels like a special gift. His story is a reminder that true musical inspiration does not simply disappear with time.
The legendary melodies may belong to yesterday, but Benny Andersson’s creative spirit continues to look toward tomorrow. And for millions of devoted fans, that is beautiful news indeed.
