Introduction

My dear friends…
I found myself in tears when I looked at this picture—not because it is sad, but because it speaks a truth so simple, yet so profound. “He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother.” Those words are more than a phrase… they are a way of life. When you truly love someone, they never feel like a burden. You don’t carry them out of obligation—you carry them because your heart wouldn’t have it any other way.
That is what this image represents to me. A lifetime of love. Of standing side by side through every season. Of lifting one another without hesitation, without calculation, without ever asking why. Our conversations were never centered on ourselves. They were always about something greater—about how we could bless our families, reach out to others, and share the same love we were so fortunate to have.
Before he passed, my brother shared things with me that I will hold quietly and protect with all my heart. Some truths are too sacred for words. But this, I can say… my brother Wayne—my partner not only in life, but in writing—has not stopped his work. I feel it. I sense it. It’s as if he’s already begun again on the other side, still creating, still inspiring, still guiding me forward.
Even now, I don’t walk this journey alone.
He left behind songs—beautiful, unfinished pieces from an album he called The Word. And I made him a promise. A promise to bring those songs to life exactly as they were meant to be. Not just for him, but for everyone who might one day hear them and feel what we felt.
Because in the end, when everything else fades away, it all comes down to one simple truth…
He’s my brother.
And that means everything.
You are loved.
